Pushing on around the loch. #jogle @oldfieldcycles
Today we get to ride a towpath to the sea. Pretty likely it will rain most of the day. #jogle #bicycletouring #anhaicabagworks #oldfieldcycles
Anyone have a favorite on-bike stretch they feel like sharing?
The elbows inward stretching out my shoulders and wrist at the same time is saving me after the beating my arms got yesterday in the wind.
We only got about 50 miles today, ending at Fort Augustus. The last few miles were a steep descent in freezing rain and we just felt like stopping and getting a hostel to dry out was a better decision than pushing for more miles and wild camping. Living it up. Cooking a big pasta dinner in the hostel kitchen. #bicycletouring #jogle
Lunch by the side of #lochness marmite and peanut butter sandwiches, chocolate krispies and bananas 🍌👊#bicycletouring
Before we toke off this morning We just had to take johns fat bike for a spin. #warmshowers #bicycletouring #fatbike
We probably won’t have internet for the next few days as we rode down along Loch Ness and to the west coast. #bicycletouring
This morning Justin and I raged an epic battle against the wind and rain. It took us 3 hrs to go about 15 miles, I have never felt such strong wind for such a sustained amount of time but after a lunch stop in Lairg the sun came out and the wind stopped. #jogle #scotland #bicycletouring #cleverhood
Somewhere in Northern Scotland , after we stopped at 2009’s best Loo voted by the highlands council.
So far Scotland has been really good to us. Except for those fifteen miles that took us over three hours because of the absolutely brutal winds, but we can choose to forget that.
